Terms of Service

1. Operator and acceptance

Photo Timestamp is operated by Makerming, an individual developer. These Terms govern your use of the browser-based Photo Timestamp service at timestamp.fit. By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, can enter into these Terms, and agree to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

The service lets you select JPG, JPEG, and PNG files, read available EXIF dates, add a visible date or time stamp, and download new JPEG files or a ZIP archive. Processing is performed in your browser. The service is provided as a digital, browser-based tool and may change, be unavailable, or contain errors.

The free editor does not require an account. Pro requires an account and a verified one-time purchase. Available passes provide 30 days, 365 days, or lifetime access. There is no automatic renewal or credit balance. A return from checkout alone is not payment confirmation.

3. Files and your responsibility

You keep ownership of files you select and outputs you create. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to process and share them, for checking dates and output quality, and for keeping your original files. The service does not authenticate that a timestamp is the true date a scene was photographed.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to violate law or another person’s privacy, copyright, or other rights; upload malware; interfere with the service; attempt unauthorized access; or use outputs to mislead others about the authenticity of a photograph. Do not use the service as a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

5. Optional support

The site may display voluntary Alipay or WeChat Pay support QR codes. Support is optional, is not required to use the free editor, and does not currently unlock a server-verified product, create an account, or establish a subscription. The website does not collect card numbers or process card payments. There is no automatic renewal or automatic recharge. Paid Pro purchases are processed through Waffo Pancake. Use its customer portal to request refunds; approved refunds may revoke the associated Pro access; any legally required consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Availability and disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. You should retain the original file and verify every downloaded result before relying on it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Makerming is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Suspension and changes

We may suspend or discontinue the service, or restrict use that violates these Terms or creates security or legal risk. We may update these Terms by publishing a new version on this page and changing the date above. For material changes, we will provide notice through the site where reasonably practicable. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction where the operator is ordinarily resident, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. For questions about these Terms, privacy, or the service, use the support channel presented on the Photo Timestamp website. We will review reasonable requests about the service and privacy practices.
